Delhi civic body launches app to provide one-stop services

The Municipality of Delhi (MCD) has launched a mobile application to provide various services at one stop. The “MCD311 App” has eight online services, including complaint registration, 24/7 helpline traffic, electronic charging station location, which is nearby and other services.

After the launch, the “MCD311 application” has become an effective and convenient means for resolving grievances. With the help of this app, citizens of Delhi can access various facilities, file their citizenship related complaints and submit feedback with just a “click”.

CITIZENS CAN RESPOND TO GRIEVANCE

Citizens may complain of issues such as potholes in the roads, unattended garbage, waterlogging, and unauthorized construction activities. Once the complaint has been filed, the department concerned tries to resolve the problem as soon as possible. This application can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store and Apple Play Store.

Apart from citizens, visitors and travelers visiting Delhi can use the app to search nearby places and can reach their destination destinations. The “MCD311” app also helps to discover metro stations, bus stops, monuments, public toilets, etc. the closest. People can also have real-time traffic information.

Additionally, the MCD311 app helps citizens contact emergency units and associations for quick help through the app’s 24/7 helpline feature.

APP FEATURES

The MCD311 application has many improved features such as a simplified handover protocol to escalate issues to other agencies, posting control to flag resolution, and updated report formats for easier monitoring. It also has functionality to track progress on long-term issues and functionality to ensure that maintainers are present on site when proof of resolution is uploaded.

The app also enables and encourages citizens to submit complaints and helps municipal bodies to handle complaints in an optimal way. The application allows transparent follow-up of complaints by agents.
