Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum scheduled for October 17-18 – News is My Business

After a first edition at Puerto Rico Investment Summit 2019, it now returns as the main annual event.

Top international banking, international insurance, compliance, and specialty financial services experts are set to speak at the Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum (FSF), to be held October 17-18 at the hotel. Fairmont El San Juan in San Juan.

The two-day event will host international and local professionals, covering the latest trends in international banking and insurance centers, along with tax, compliance, insurance and banking experts, discuss opportunities in Puerto Rico and demonstrate why the he island is a great place for these types of activities, organizers said.

Presented by the Association of International Banks of Puerto Rico (PRIBA) and the Association of International Insurers of Puerto Rico (PRIIA), the conference will cover topics such as: Incentive laws under the Puerto Rico’s Incentives, better known as Law 60, Financial Crimes, Account and Service Requests, How Artificial Intelligence Can Prevent Money Laundering, Kleptocracy, and National Threat Assessment.

The FSF speaker line-up includes John Fitzpatrick, Chairman of Oak Family Advisors, Manuel Cidre, Secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Trade, Heidy Duarte of Kauffman, Rossin & Co., Ella Woger, CEO of Invest PR, and Natalia Zequeira, Puerto Rico Financial Institutions Commissioner, among others.

“Puerto Rico is open for business and offers many advantages. We are pleased to host such an important conference which will highlight the vast investment opportunities the island has to offer,” said PRIBA President Eduardo Colón.
