Reliance Announces Launch of JioAirfiber Services | India is blooming

Mumbai: Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani on Monday announced the launch of JioAirfiber, a wifi hotspot.

“By using JioAirFiber, customers can remove all expenses and choose to use a cloud-hosted virtual PC.

We named this concept, Jio Cloud PC. No large initial investments, no upgrades. You only pay for as much as you use Cloud PC, which is a very affordable way to bring the power of one PC, even multiple PCs, to every Indian home and business. This will be a game-changer for every student, every gig worker, every small business in our country,” he said while addressing shareholders at the annual general meeting (AGM).

“Whether it’s a pharmacy or a medical clinic, a grocer or a hotel, a consultant or a chartered accountant, everyone can get an affordable computer through Jio Cloud PC and JioAirFiber. Even large companies can use this solution. At Reliance, we use a lot of computers. We are now replacing most of them with Jio Cloud PCs. Jio 5G can also be used to create private 5G networks for large enterprises,” he said.

He said that compared to traditional enterprise Wi-Fi networks, 5G networks offer better reliability, better coverage, better data security, higher scalability and lower cost, especially in demanding situations.

“Thanks to 5G, we will now connect more and more terminal devices in multiple areas. With the rollout of 5G in India, the current 800 million internet-connected devices will double to 1.5 billion internet-connected devices in just one year,” he said.

Earlier, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of Jio 5G services in metropolitan cities by Diwali.
