Unidentified body found in shelter

ILIGAN CITY – Valencia City Police headed by Lt. Col. Cipriano V. Bazar, Jr. found the body of a man inside a shelter on Monday.

Jopher C. Pabate, cashier at the Versatile shelter in Valence, town of Bukidnon, informed the authorities that an unidentified person had been found bloody and lifeless in one of the rooms of the establishment in Purok 13 , Poblacion.

The victim reportedly checked in around 7.15pm on January 3 and told the cashier that two more people would be checking in with him. The two unidentified companions arrived at the shelter through the exit and entered room 13.

The next day, when the victim could not check, authorities forced open the door and found him lying on the bed, bloodied and naked and covered with a blanket.

A team of Crime Scene Officers (SOCOs) from the Bukidnon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office said the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to various parts of the body. He is about 30 years old, is 5’4 ”, average height, and wears a dove and three stars tattooed on his left chest and left arm.

A yellow t-shirt, a silver necklace and gold earrings were also recovered from the crime scene. The victim was declared dead by Dr Michael Escalante of the Valencia City Health Office and then taken to Villanueva Funeral Homes.

Provincial Police Office The Provincial Director, Colonel Roel L. Lami-ing, ordered the Valencia PSC to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and track down the suspects.
